Quality Assurance Philosophy
At Gemmy Wood, quality is not an afterthought — it is built into every step of our manufacturing process. Our 3-stage AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) inspection system ensures that every product leaving our factory meets international standards and your specific requirements.
3-Stage Inspection System
Stage 1: Incoming Material Inspection
- Moisture content testing (target: ≤12%)
- Wood grade classification and defect screening
- Hardware and auxiliary material verification
- FSC Chain of Custody documentation check
Stage 2: In-Process Quality Control
- Dimensional accuracy checks at each production stage
- Surface quality inspection after sanding and finishing
- Assembly strength and joint integrity testing
- Color consistency verification across batches
Stage 3: Final Pre-Shipment Inspection
- 100% visual inspection of finished products
- Random sampling per AQL standard (Level II, 2.5)
- Packaging integrity and labeling verification
- Container loading supervision and documentation

Moisture Control
Wood moisture content is critical for furniture durability. Our industrial kiln drying process reduces moisture to ≤12%, preventing warping, cracking, and dimensional changes after delivery. Each batch is tested with pin-type and pinless moisture meters before proceeding to production.
Defect Handling Policy
We maintain a transparent defect handling policy:
- Defective items identified during QC are separated and reworked or rejected
- Photo documentation of any issues shared with clients in real-time
- Replacement products manufactured at no additional cost for verified defects
- Continuous improvement tracking — defect rates analyzed monthly
